OUR BUYING TAKE

Choose for the job, then compare total cost.

Start with the N4 Pro S if rear detail is a priority. Its higher listed rear resolution is a reason to put it on your shortlist. Resolution alone does not establish real-world plate readability; compare representative footage before paying more.

Consider the N4 Pro if its complete setup costs meaningfully less. Compare the camera, card, parking-power accessory and installation together. A lower camera price is less useful if the bundle leaves out something you need.

Already own an N4 Pro? First identify the problem you want an upgrade to solve. Check your existing rear view, night clips and cable route. Do not assume an existing cable, rear camera or mount can be reused with the S model.

No need to record passengers? Include a simpler front-and-rear camera in your comparison rather than paying for a cabin channel you do not plan to use.

Do not buy on “4K” alone.

In these three-channel configurations, 4K describes the front view. Compare rear resolution separately and check what the selected bundle actually includes. Our recommendation here is based on specifications and installation needs, not a hands-on performance ranking.

Which rear camera should I choose?
Sources & how this guide was prepared

Researched October 16, 2026 using manufacturer specifications and the two Amazon listings. This is a research guide; we have not conducted a hands-on test. Packages can change. The manufacturer’s current IP67 rear camera description and Amazon’s RC09 listing do not give identical sensor details, so we do not treat every package as the same hardware.

Compare the actual rear-camera identifier and mounting instructions rather than relying on a shared model name.
