THE REAR-CAMERA DECISION

N4 Pro S: RC18 or IP67?

The model name alone does not tell you which rear camera is in the box. Here is how to choose between the two Amazon listings.

CHOOSE YOUR REAR CAMERA

Same model name. Two setups.

Start with where the rear camera will go. Then check the selected package on Amazon.

OUR PRACTICAL TAKE

Choose the location first.

Rear glass gives you a clean view? The interior RC18 setup is the straightforward starting point. Account for tint, defroster lines, rear wiper coverage and tailgate movement when selecting a position.

Need the camera outside? Choose a listing that explicitly includes the IP67 rear camera. The rating applies to that rear unit, not the main windshield camera, and does not replace correct installation or protected connections.

Do not choose on sensor names alone. Vantrue’s current website and the Amazon IP67 listing describe different rear sensor identifiers. Confirm the exact package with the seller if that detail matters to your decision.

Sources & how this guide was prepared

Researched October 16, 2026 using manufacturer specifications and the two Amazon listings. This is a research guide; we have not conducted a hands-on test. Packages can change. The manufacturer’s current IP67 rear camera description and Amazon’s RC09 listing do not give identical sensor details, so we do not treat every package as the same hardware.

Compare the actual rear-camera identifier and mounting instructions rather than relying on a shared model name.
